Construction of Petmin USA’s Nodular Pig Iron (NPI) facility will begin later this year and is expected to continue over a two-year period, providing a host of opportunities for local construction workers throughout Northeast Ohio.
Techint Engineering & Construction (Techint) are the appointed EPCM, who have over the past three years collaborated with Tenova Inc (technology supplier), DRA Global (owners engineers) and the Petmin team, to complete the Feasibility Study and Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase of the project, focused on the Ashtabula site. Techint will be assisting Petmin in its selection of local general contractors for the construction on site.
We have signed a project labor agreement with the Cleveland Building & Construction Trades Council (CBCTC), the umbrella organization for more than 29 unions working in the construction industry in the Greater Cleveland region. For information about the council, and links to its member unions, visit www.cbctc.org.
We certainly look forward to finally beginning formal construction on site and working with the experienced construction contractors and suppliers in the area. Kindly use the portal on this page should you wish to express interest in the project.
